A memorable performance is about more than just playing your songs…it’s about inviting your audience into the story behind the music. The way you introduce a song and the moments you choose to connect can help listeners engage more deeply with what they’re about to hear.
In this interactive online workshop, Australian singer-songwriter Brea Robertson will explore how to shape and share the story around your songs. Together we’ll look at how to set up your music in a natural, authentic way and how to find meaningful moments within your set to connect more personally with your audience.
Through hands-on activities, both individually and in small groups, you’ll create a set list that considers where it feels natural to speak to your audience and what you might want to share. You’ll also craft an introduction to one of your songs. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to practice your introductions, receive supportive feedback, and build confidence in how you invite your audience into the world of your music.
This workshop takes place in cooperation with Die Kulturstation Bonn and is aimed at up–and coming bands and solo musicians from NRW. The workshop will be led in English but you can choose to craft your stories in German or English.
